NORTH LANARK FLU ASSESSMENT CENTRE

As directed by the Medical Officer of Health and in collaboration with the Great War Memorial Hospital in Perth, the North Lanark Community Health Centre at 207 Robertson Drive, Lanark Village is now a FLU ASSESSMENT CENTRE for the general public of all ages.
This is NOT a vaccination centre.
Appointments are not required. The Flu Assessment Centre is staffed by Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses to provide all levels of care related to the flu including:
- Assessment
- Treatment
- Referral to hospital if required
For the week of November 2 — 6th, 2009, the hours of operation are: Wednesday to Friday Nov. 4th, 5th and 6th 9:00-12:00 and 4:00-7:00.
For the period from Saturday, November 7th to Sunday November 15th, the North Lanark Flu Assessment hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 9:00-12:00 and 4:00-7:00, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 - 12:00.
These hours will change weekly to address the evolving needs of the community.
Go to the nearest hospital emergency department or call 911 RIGHT AWAY if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Difficulty breathing/shortness of breath when doing very little or resting
- Continuous vomiting or severe diarrhea with signs of dehydration such as dry tongue, dry mouth, decreased peeing (no urine for the past 6 to 8 hours), or very yellow/orange urine
- Stiff neck and eyes sensitive to light
- Seizures or convulsions
- Confusion or disorientation
